At Seniors Helping Seniors® The Villages and Greater Marion County, we have a passion for meeting the needs of seniors in a way that provides both dignity and a sense of camaraderie. Our owner(s) John James, Trish James firmly believe we can do that through serving seniors in our community, which includes: The Villages, Wildwood, Lady Lake, and surrounding areas.
About Seniors Helping Seniors The Villages and Greater Marion County
While caring for his aging family, friends and neighbors, John James realized just how important it is for seniors to stay in their homes and remain connected to their community as they grow older. With Seniors Helping Seniors services he saw how he could be a great support for seniors and their families during a time when a little help goes a long way.
Seniors Helping Seniors in-home care matches seniors who want to help with seniors who need a little help. The peer-to-peer assistance allows seniors in need to receive the care they need from someone whom they can trust. At the same time, seniors who want to help are able to remain active in their community and often form strong relationships with the seniors for whom they provide care.
“Our goal is to help seniors in The Villages and throughout Marion County to live independently and enjoy community life,” shared John. “Seniors Helping Seniors in-home care gives seniors and their families the resources to do that.”
After John’s mother passed away and his father’s health began to decline his family made the decision to move John’s dad into an assisted living facility. “This was a very hard transition for my father. He missed his home, his garden and his routine,” said John. “If we had access to a service like Seniors Helping Seniors care, we would have made different decisions for my father’s care. He would have been happier staying in his own home, surrounded by a familiar community.”
John, and the senior care Providers who work with him, want to give seniors the option to stay in their homes and to remain as independent as possible. “Family members and caregivers can feel secure that their loved ones are in compassionate, caring, capable hands.”
