Seniors gather at a local recreation center to pack a "shoe-box" to send to our men and women in uniform serving overseas. Buckets of candy, crackers, other treats, toiletries, playing cards, puzzles, and wet wipes are emptied onto tables for the participants to assemble into plastic wrappers. After about an hour of work, and lots of chatter the packages of various items are placed into clothe pouches made by the "sewing table". It is a great way to support our troops and socialize with fellow seniors. Seniors Helping Seniors provides the escort for those who cannot drive or need a bit of help with the day.
